- Open the scanner camera (or pick photos / a PDF).
- Adjust the edges if needed and choose a filter — Document is recommended.
- Press Create PDF, or Recognize text to copy the text.
Frequently asked questions
Can I copy text from a scan?
Yes. Press [Recognize text] and the text in the photo or scanned PDF appears below, ready to copy or save as TXT.
What is a searchable PDF?
With [Searchable PDF] on, an invisible text layer is placed over the scanned image so PDF viewers can find and copy the text.
Recognition makes mistakes.
Small or blurry text can be misread. Fill the screen with the document, avoid shadows, shoot in good light and use the Document filter. Handwriting isn't recognized well.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Photos and recognized text stay on this device. Only the text-recognition data (a few MB) is downloaded once.
